July 23 – Home from the Trip

Friday, July 23 – 346 Days to Go…

Alright. I’m back home and operating at full strength. It’s time to really drill down and do what it’s going to take to make $100,000 per month by July 4, 2011.

Two simple things are top of mind, conclusions from the Alaska trip:

1. I must get up at 4:00 a.m. Now that I’m home, this is very evident to me. Getting up at 7:00 a.m. is not cutting it. At least one kid is invariably up by this time. Getting up is a huge component of my need to exercise more.

2. I must also slim down. I do not have SixPackDaddy as I sit here at 200 pounds. I must make a run at becoming lean, lean, lean. How? Having a solid eating plan and giving up beer.

There will be no gradual easing into the SixPackDaddy lifestyle. This is it. I am overhauling. I am burning fat. Building muscle. Every day is precious until I am ripped and fitting into my college jeans.

Today I will:

  1. Clean the garage
  2. Make a meal plan for the week
  3. Make an exercise plan for the week
  4. Get up at 4:00 a.m. tomorrow and hit it

Day 43 – My Birthday Entry

July 12, 2010 – 357 days to go until I’m earning $100,000 per month.

What’s going to need to happen in the coming days? What’s my life going to look like?

Part of the way I will earn $100,000 per month is by selling my SixPackDaddy fitness product, which means I must be fit.

I, then, must make the necessary changes, sacrifices and COMMITMENT to being fit. I can’t be a fat guy selling a plan that gets you ripped. I need to be ripped. Moreso, I’m excited to be ripped.

When I get off the boat, I’m going to attack the fitness deal from a process point of view. I will lay out the map I think will take me there – and follow that map. Victories will be scored when I follow through, day by day, on process.

What’s on that map?

  1. Definitely less booze.
  2. Set menus that I stick to religiously.
  3. Daily exercise. Sometimes twice per day. Intense.

$100,000 per month is at stake here. Booming sexuality is at stake here. At age 50, things will be different. My window is now.

Exercise is a huge deal. I must put all work, my business or day job or family or marketing, as a back seat to my fitness business. My fitness business is the thing I focus on on in the next quarter. My number one business is burning calories. Nothing else is as important.

If I write a little less, get a little less editing done or graphics done because I’m exercising, that’s how it’s got to be. That’s the way it will be.

Upon returning to California, I will be a fitness freak, ripping crazy workouts, eating clean, fresh, whole foods, stopping at nothing to reclaim my 32-inch waist.

So, then, everything takes a back seat to fitness. I’m the boss and I say fitness comes first. Everything and everybody else must wait. What does that mean?

It means I have to scale back the partying. I means I have to be “rude” in certain situations and not accept food or eat what everyone else is eating. I must have singleness of purpose and an unwavering belief that I will achieve my goal.

My purpose? To be lean. Period.

Happy Independence Day – T-minus One Year

July 4, 2010

It’s Day 35. One year to go. 365 days. I am in this thing and there’s no looking back.

In one year, I will be celebrating Independence Day in a big way because I will be looking at monthly income of $100,000. It’s going to take wisdom, guts, imagination, hard work and – more than anything for me – discipline.

I am going to need to develop and cling to and milk my forward habits.

I am also going to have to have the discipline to NOT do certain things, to not waste my time on junk, to not take on jobs that do not pay.

Over the next year, I will wake up each day with a clear vision of where I’m going ($100,000 per month) and what I need to do to get there.

Over the next few days and when I’m in Alaska, I will spend some time painting a picture of how my days need to unfold. Getting up early, creating content, maximizing my online connections, all that stuff that leads to money. I’m on my way. I see it. I smell it. It’s going to be fun.

Today I will:

  1. Continue typing DaddySixPack notes

Day 34 – Tomorrow’s a Year

It’s July 3, 2010. I’ve got 366 days to go. Tomorrow, I’ll have a year.

It’s also the Saturday before July 4. How many people in America are working today? Better question… How many people in America are spending time – a lot of time – pretty much all day – working and plotting and planning to make $100,000 per month in a year’s time?

Here I am. It’s 6:00 p.m. I’m watching the kids at the pool with my laptop on my knees. I’ve spent a lot of hours editing “Beer Beach.” I’ve written some notes for SixPackDaddy.com. I opened the bank account needed for “Ryan and Aurora.” Lots was accomplished – all while drinking Coors Light.

What more can I accomplish tonight?

Maybe I’ll start typing my SixPackDaddy notes in. I’m probably done editing for the day. Will take that up first thing tomorrow…

Back to Day 33

Friday, July 2, 2010 – Day 33

No biggie, but I lost track of my days. July 4 will mark Day 35 – with 365 days to go. Today’s only Day 33. I bought myself some time!

Yesterday, I plowed through a lot of recipe work. Today, I will continue to plow through it – and start collating my notes. My notes are everywhere. If I had to create this thing right now, I could do it. Eventually, I’m going to have to pull the trigger.

Today, I will:

  1. Finish the 12-Week Eating Plan
  2. Get all my notes together

Getting closer to a year countdown. Feelin’ the pressure, but also feelin’ good.

Day 34

Thursday, July 1, 2010 – Day 34

I have definitely and unfortunately fallen out of the habit of posting to this blog every day. That’s not going to cut it.

I have 364 days to go. I’ve been at this for over a month and have very little finished product to show for it. I’m in process on a lot of stuff. That’s also not going to cut it. I need to go for the jugular and finish. If I am going to go live on August 31, I need to be generating content, editing, writing, everything.

When I’m in Alaska, what am I going to be doing? Will I be able to keep pounding? Probably not. That means I have one week while still here in L.A. and then six weeks upon returning. The weeks slide by. I need to make solid progress each and every day.

Today, I will:

  1. Finish the recipe organization.
  2. Start sketching SixPackDaddy.com website.

  2. Do an intense, full-body workout
